Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman. she is currently president and controlling shareholder of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is a native of California and was raised as an heir to a prestigious family. Jerry Buss, her father was a businessman with a real estate business who later was the owner of Lakers Entertainment and Sports. The emotional strain she felt was exacerbated as her parents divorced in 1972. At the age of 19, she was employed within the family's company. Then she created her own Los Angeles Blades pro roller hockey team. She was president of the Great Western Forum before assuming the position of vice president of the Lakers. Buss along with her five siblings and brothers as well as their father who was the owner of the Lakers and ruled them up to his death in 2013, took over this ownership through the trust. Each of them were entitled to the same voting rights. she assumed the duties as head for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss owns Women of Wrestling in Los Angeles, an organization that encourages professional wrestling.
