Winona-Ryder

Winona Laura Horowitz professionally known as Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. She was named by her parents after the town where she was raised in. Her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder's father and mother also happen to be Jewish. Ryder believes herself to being Jewish. The actress is the younger sister of Uria, and has half-siblings Jubal and Sunyata. At the age of seven, Ryder was seven, her family moved from Mendocino County, California. Ryder began taking acting lessons at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 aged 12. Her first role was a success on the large screen in 1986 aged 15 years old. older.
